ezjili LIST: Road closures, traffic rerouting during INC peace rally on Jan. 13

MANILA, Philippines — Some roads in the cities of Manila and Pasay will be closed on Monday, January 13, in time for the peace rally of Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) to be held at the Quirino Grandstand.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Friday said that the event is expected to attract one million attendees from different provinces.

The following roads will be closed on Monday from 4 a.m. onwards:

Meanwhile, motorists are advised of the following reroutes going northbound:

For private vehicles going southbound:

Trade Undersecretary Allan Gepty, who is heading the negotiations for the Philippine side, told the Inquirer that some chapters of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with the Middle Eastern country are almost substantially concluded after the latest round of talks held last week.

Meanwhile, Malacañang has suspended government work and classes in both cities. while the suspension of work in private offices will be at the discretion of respective companies.
